TTI Machine is a family-owned precision machine shop specializing in repair work, custom machining, and heavy industrial components. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on manual machinist to join our team. This role focuses on independent work, setting up and operating manual lathes, mills, boring mills, and vertical turret lathes (VTLs) primarily for repair and custom, one-off job shop projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, boring mills, and VTLs
• Perform general and complex repair machining
• Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and sample parts
• Complete short-run, custom job shop work
• Maintain accuracy, quality, and adhere to safe work practices
• Measure parts precisely to ensure specifications are met
• Troubleshoot and solve machining problems independently

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a manual machinist (minimum 2 years)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
• Dependable with a positive attitude in a fast-paced shop environment
• Must pass background check

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in manual machining
• Proficiency operating manual lathes and milling machines
• Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
• Knowledge of repair machining, weld preparation, and machining worn parts
• Track record of safety compliance and ability to work independently
