Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager who would be interested in a long-term full-time contract engagement within the downtown Ottawa locale.

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager who would be interested in a long-term full-time contract engagement within the downtown Ottawa locale.
The candidate will require a strong Agile Project Management background and particular expertise within large-scale transformation initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in a Project Manager role / Project Management consulting environment
- Demonstrable experience working on large-scale Enterprise and Technology transformation initiatives
- Structured approach, diplomatic, with tactful communication
- Demonstrable experience in leading diverse project teams, and also in the facilitation and collaboration of people to work as one team.
- Experience in an environment using the Agile methodology and landscape for delivery of business and technology projects
- Certification in Project Management such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 would be preferred
- Experience with managing vendors within a large organization, ideally within the federal government.
- Working with Agile/Scrum teams and Senior Management/Stakeholders in achieving alignment on project direction and functionality - considering project functionality, cost, schedule, and quality
- Acting as one of the prime liaison with third party organizations on project-related issues or inquiries - this includes incorporating third-party dependencies in project plans and decisions and ensuring the project teams and stakeholders are aware of results
- Ensuring all groups are being provided with timely and accurate project information
- Working with Agile/Scrum teams and third parties to develop complex project plans to support successful project delivery
- Managing and tracking these project plans including integration milestones, release activities and milestones, etc.
- Working with Agile/Scrum teams to identify, manage and track risks, issues, dependencies, and actions
- Setting up relevant meetings and ensuring ongoing project progress is tracked and communicated
- Ensuring resolution and escalation of issues or risks in a timely fashion, and ensuring that these are recorded for tracking and closure on the project tracking tool
- Working with Agile/Scrum teams to define resource requirements, budget, technology, facility needs, and reporting these as required.
