As our catering program continues to grow, we're looking for a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Catering Delivery Specialist to help deliver outstanding experiences to our guests throughout the Washington, DC metro area.

Position Overview
The Catering Delivery Specialist is responsible for delivering and setting up catering orders while ensuring every guest receives the exceptional service Toastique is known for. The CDS is also responsible for transporting products, supplies, and equipment between Toastique's corporate-owned locations throughout the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia (DMV) area. This role helps ensure each café is properly stocked and able to operate efficiently.
When not completing scheduled catering deliveries, you'll support daily store operations by assisting with food preparation, guest service, inventory, and maintaining Toastique's high hospitality standards. This ensures every shift is productive while providing opportunities to learn all aspects of the business.
You'll work closely with the Event Manager, Store Leadership Team, and Director of Training & Development to ensure every catering order is prepared accurately, delivered on time, and presented beautifully.
Key Responsibilities
Catering Deliveries
  • Safely and efficiently deliver catering orders throughout the Washington, DC metro area Toastique locations.
  • Carefully load, transport, and unload catering orders while maintaining food quality and presentation.
  • Set up catering displays, if applicable, according to Toastique standards and client expectations.
  • Verify all catering items, quantities, and special requests before leaving the store locations.
  • Ensure deliveries arrive on time and communicate any delays immediately to the Event Manager.
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service at every delivery.
  • Collect client feedback and communicate any concerns to the Event Manager.
  • Maintain food safety standards throughout transportation and setup.
  • Return catering equipment and supplies following a delivery, if applicable.

Catering Operations
  • Work alongside the Event Manager and catering team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Assist with packaging and preparing catering orders.
  • Perform quality control checks before every delivery.
  • Accept Google Calendar invitations and monitor assigned catering schedules.
  • Communicate delivery status and completion through company communication channels.
  • Assist with catering setup and breakdown for larger on-site events when needed.

Store Deliveries
  • Safely transport cold-pressed juices, fresh food items, catering supplies, and other inventory between corporate stores.
  • Ensure all products are loaded, transported, and delivered according to Toastique's food safety and quality standards, maintaining appropriate temperatures throughout transport.
  • Verify delivery quantities and accuracy before departing and upon arrival at each location.
  • Communicate with the Operations Team and Store Managers regarding delivery schedules, inventory shortages, or any transportation issues.
  • Maintain organized delivery routes to maximize efficiency and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Handle products with care to minimize damage and preserve quality.
  • Keep the delivery van clean, organized, and stocked with any necessary transport equipment.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating a Toastique vehicle.
  • Complete required delivery logs and communicate delivery completion through company communication channels.

Team Member Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to every guest.
  • Prepare food and beverages according to Toastique recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Help stock inventory and receive deliveries.
  • Support managers with daily operational tasks.
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health standards.
  • Assist with fulfilling in-store and third-party delivery orders.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable personal vehicle with current insurance (mileage reimbursement provided, if applicable).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in both an active store environment and independently while making deliveries.
  • Ability to work mornings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Previous delivery, hospitality, restaurant, or catering experience preferred but not required.
