Company Description TLC Construction Contract Services is a full-service civil construction contractor specializing in site preparation, underground utility construction, asphalt and concrete paving, and materials transportation and logistics.


Role Description The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and managing incoming and outgoing mail. Daily tasks include handling basic administrative functions such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and maintaining office supplies. The role also supports administrative activities for project and office teams, including scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, payroll hour collection, Lien release preparation & collection and assisting with record-keeping. The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant serves as a first point of contact, ensuring professional communication and a positive experience for clients, vendors, and team members.


Qualifications

  • Strong Phone Etiquette and Receptionist Duties skills, including answering, routing, and documenting calls and greeting visitors professionally.
  • Solid Clerical Skills, such as filing, data entry, document organization, and basic office administration.
  • Effective Communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to interact clearly with internal teams and external contacts.
  • Customer Service skills to provide courteous, timely, and helpful support to clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office or similar) and office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners).
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills in a fast-paced construction office environment.
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Houston, TX and collaborate with diverse teams in a professional manner.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in reception or administrative support, especially in construction or related industries, is preferred.
  • Valid Texas Driver License, eligible motor vehicle report and reliable transportation, as position requires some local travel.
