Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal counsel on health care regulatory compliance, policy, and transactional matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to health care operations
  • Advise clients on federal and state health care laws, including HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and ACA regulations
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging health care legislation and regulatory changes
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, investigations, and disputes with regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop compliant health care strategies
  • Monitor and interpret changes in health care law to proactively advise clients on risk mitigation
Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in Virginia or eligibility for admission
  • 3+ years of experience in health care law, regulatory compliance, or a related practice area
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state health care regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and fraud and abuse laws
  • Experience with health care transactions, provider agreements, or government investigations preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment
