Job description

TGC Group is a dynamic and growing company offering exciting opportunities for career advancement and national hotel discounts. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our Hospitality Accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small, highly respected team in a fast-paced and fun environment.
Responsibilities:
Invoice Management: Review and input invoices to ensure they are applied to the correct GL account with accurate descriptions for month-end reporting.
Daily Deposits: Input daily deposits from hotel reports for month-end reconciliations.
Month-End Preparation: Prepare month-end financials including accruals, prepaid entries, and financial reports.
Sales & Occupancy Taxes: File monthly sales and occupancy taxes.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, research variances, and book monthly entries. Reconcile petty cash.
Year-End Reporting: Provide year-end reports to CPA, book year-end entries, and assist with 1099 preparation/filing.
Communication: Coordinate with hotel staff and vendors to ensure timely receipt and correct input of invoices for accurate reporting of revenue and expenses.
Other Duties: Perform various other accounting-related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
Effective verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills to work with general managers, vendors, and senior management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and 10-key.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in daily duties.
A self-starter with the ability to take direction and maintain efficiency while supporting the company’s continued growth.
