Collections Specialist
Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Process Administrator for a contract to hire position that can be worked 100% remotely, but needs to be local to Akron or ColumbusOH.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team, focusing on assisting customers who are behind on payments. The role involves contacting delinquent customers via telephone or mail to collect past due payments or to make alternative payment arrangements. You will establish and maintain files related to collection activities and utilize basic skip tracing techniques to locate delinquent customers. Additionally, you will recommend actions for management decisions regarding repossessions, bankruptcy, and/or foreclosure, and arrange for appropriate bank and/or legal action based on account analysis and managerial direction.

  • Contact customers who are behind on payments to determine their situation and take appropriate action, such as moving them to the home saver group or setting up a payment plan.
  • This is a phone-based/desk-based job requiring 8 hours per day.
  • Maintain a rigid schedule to ensure coverage, including scheduled lunch and breaks.
  • Customer service is a key aspect of this role.
  • Ideal candidates may have backgrounds in door-to-door sales, as a sales associate at retail stores, or as crew members in fast-food chains.
  • Open to individuals early in their career with 1-3 years of experience.

Qualifications:
  • Call Center experience is required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Desire to educate and assist troubled customers.
  • Effective communication skills over the phone in a professional and personable manner within time constraints.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand complex processes.
  • Adaptability to change and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable using a computer and keyboard.
