Overview
Great things are happening at the T. Marzetti Sister Schubert's Luverne facility and as we continue to grow. Sister Schubert's Luverne is looking to hire team members who will grow with us on our journey towards world-class operational excellence.

  • Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, hairnet, and beard net (in necessary) to ensure good overall condition of items that provide optimal personal safety & protection while working in the facility.
  • Successfully acquires and maintains Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machine and safely performs all functions in accordance with OSHA and company requirements and standards. As they apply for this position.
  • Performs daily inspection of power equipment with proper documentation. In accordance with OSHA standards, company policies and procedures. As they apply for this position.
  • As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes his/her Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO), corrects issues when identified, and participates in problem solving.

  • Ensures compliance with quality, food safety / HACCP, FSMA, Food Defense, 5S, OSHA and other support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
  • Communicate any concerns related to product safety, integrity, quality and legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary.

  • Ensure repair part stocking levels are maintained to support all maintenance activities.
  • Lead the inventory cycle counting program.
  • Create SAP numbers for all new repair parts.
  • Completes daily SAP entries such as equipment parts received and issued, inventory updates, and minimum/maximum levels.
  • Maintains an organized vendor filing system.
  • Maintains copies of any documents that may be needed for audits.
  • Participate in breakdown elimination activities that involve repair part failures.
  • Partner with MRO providers to look for opportunities to increase equipment reliability and decrease costs.
  • Completes weekly report to show parts expenditures relative to budget.
  • Complete an email notification to maintenance manager or supervisor regarding the weekly level of spending.
  • Sends requests for quotes to vendors for part purchases.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
  • Good technical and mechanical skills.
  • Effective oral, written, and listening communication skills with group speaking requirements.
  • Good manufacturing knowledge and experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Problem-solving and leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an MRO Specialist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance, repair, and operations processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory management and control.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment requiring repetitive work preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively - verbally & written - and work well with Team Members and Management
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and good math skills are helpful.
  • Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast-paced environment.

Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions/Environment
  • Works in a manufacturing environment where the Team Member is regularly required to speak, read, and comprehend, stand, walk, reach, lift, grasp, climb, and bend while working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Lift up to20 pounds,
  • May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • SLIP-RESISTANT/Steel-toed SHOES, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists) and smocks are required to be worn/used in accordance with company GMP and Safety standards. Condition of these items must be inspected by employee daily and be replaced when no longer providing the optimal protection of the Team Member.
