Job description

Cleanroom Operator

The Cleanroom Operator is responsible for performing manufacturing and aseptic filling activities within a controlled cleanroom environment. This position requires strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), accurate documentation, strong attention to detail, and consistent compliance with cleanroom and quality requirements.

The Cleanroom Operator works as part of a small production team and reports directly to the Cleanroom Supervisor. Reliability, accountability, communication, and the ability to follow procedures exactly are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aseptic filling and cleanroom manufacturing operations accurately and consistently
  • Follow all SOPs, batch records, work instructions, and cleanroom procedures
  • Verify materials, quantities, product information, and documentation before and during production
  • Complete batch records and other production documentation accurately and in real time
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cleanroom and work areas
  • Follow gowning, sanitation, material handling, and contamination-control procedures
  • Properly operate and handle cleanroom equipment
  • Immediately report mistakes, discrepancies, equipment issues, or deviations to the Cleanroom Supervisor
  • Assist with line clearance, material preparation, equipment setup, cleaning, and production changeovers
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with other members of the cleanroom team
  • Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability
  • Perform other production-related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of cleanroom, pharmaceutical, laboratory, manufacturing, or aseptic processing experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures exactly
  • Ability to accurately complete production documentation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
  • Ability to accept feedback and follow supervisor direction
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols, manufacturing equipment, or quality systems is preferred
