Job description

Description

The Learning Advisor serves in a content oversight and content development role in support of Learning Solutions Clients. This individual is accountable for implementing solutions designed by the Solution Design (BD) team. They serve as the Learning Strategist on project teams, interacting with the client, assessing client needs and aligning the approach, providing directions to full time and/or contractor writers, assuming writing tasks as needed. The Learning Advisor may be asked to collaborate with the Solution Design (BD) teams to determine training needs and develop recommendations in support of business development efforts, help estimate level of effort required for new deliverables and tasked with executing/facilitating training or train-the-trainer sessions.
Responsibilities
  • Interact with key client stakeholders' pre-sale, at kickoff and throughout the entire project duration; manages expectations and gains insights to inform deliverable development as scoped
  • Interact with Learning Solutions BD to validate client needs pre-sale and assume responsibility for the project post sale through project execution; informs the BD lead of ongoing project status collaboratively with the SIM and represents the learning strategy and content development considerations for the project
  • Conduct need assessments to evaluate current Client training gaps and needs, document outcomes, and recommend learning solutions to meet the needs
  • Develop Training Roadmaps, which include defined curriculum with recommended modality and sequencing that guide associated curriculum development
  • Nurture the training concept throughout its evolution of the project to ensure alignment with the strategic intent of the project; includes strategic engagement with the client throughout the project
  • Oversee development and/or creates engaging and effective training content that can be delivered via multiple modalities (e.g., distance-learning e-modules, e-zines, live training, communication and sustainability tools)
  • Leverage AI compliantly and appropriately across daily activities to drive efficiency and facilitate focus on higher order tasks
  • Ensure that all training content is developed using the best, most effective, and efficient instructional design strategies and leverages any available existing Learning Solutions intellectual property as necessary
  • Ensure training content is being delivered with the most effective and efficient modalities in alignment with the budget for the project
  • Oversee or collaborate with project managers to develop live training logistical and preparation support, including scheduling assistance, printing guides, and facilities requirements
  • As required, serves as a facilitator and/or conducts facilitator training for all developed content
  • As required, lead status meetings with the client team
Requirements
  • Preferred 5 years of experience, minimum 3 years, in training, including copy writing and development
  • Preferred 10 years of experience, minimum 5 years, in pharmaceutical/biotech healthcare industry
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience
Skills
Required:
  • Must possess a high-level of MS Office skills, and importantly, proficiency leveraging AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini)
Preferred:
  • Background in Biopharmaceutical Sales an advantage
Candidates should be able to comply with 10% travel requirements to Syneos and/or client sites.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $60-70/hr based on experience.
