At Swickard Honda of Gladstone, we hold every part of our operation to a high standard - because our guests trust us with their vehicles and their time. The Service Porter is an essential member of the team, and for the right person, it's the first step in a long career in the automotive industry.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Move and stage vehicles between lot locations, service bays, and the service drive - safely, efficiently, and with care for every vehicle in your hands
• Greet guests on the service drive with a friendly, professional presence - you're often the first face they see
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of vehicles in the service department - every car returned to a guest should leave in better condition than it arrived
• Keep the service drive, lot, and common areas clean, organized, and ready for guests at all times
• Assist service advisors and technicians with vehicle movement and staging to keep the workflow moving without delays
• Perform vehicle wash and detail duties as needed to support delivery readiness
• Support the service team with general tasks that keep the department operating at full speed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• No prior automotive experience required - we will train the right person from day one
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - required, as vehicle movement is central to this role
• Able to remain on your feet and stay active throughout your shift - this is a physical, on-the-go role
• Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in doing the job right every time
• Moves with a sense of urgency - the service drive counts on you to keep things flowing
• Friendly and professional with guests - a warm, composed presence on the drive matters
• A hospitality mindset - every vehicle you touch belongs to a guest who trusts us with it
