Job description

Guitar Category Advisor

Sweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of pro audio equipment and music instruments is seeking to hire Guitar Category Advisors to add to our growing Sales team!

As a Category Advisor, you will be working the front lines, talking with customers about guitars and guitar related products, including accessories, pedals, amps, and more! Category Advisors connect with hundreds of customers and exude the Sweetwater Experience, by providing an amazing customer interaction, paired with strong technical knowledge. If you love everything guitars and are looking for a great opportunity to serve customers with the Sweetwater Difference, we'd love to speak with you!

Job Responsibilities

  • Give gear advice on guitar products & accessories
  • Educate customers on several categories of gear, which include a wide variety of topics such as guitars, strings, amplifiers, effects pedals, and more
  • Follow up on orders to provide outstanding customer service through a variety of different communication methods

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and empathetic with strong people skills
  • Great verbal and written communication chops and strong typing skills
  • Previous experience in music industry sales, or previous experience and hands on training with guitars or guitar equipment
  • Gear Head: You love talking about the latest gear with others who share your passion
