Our Sushi Note restaurant in Sherman Oaks is now hiring for a qualified sushi chef to join our team. This position is responsible for the preparation and service of sushi menu item including daily inventory and inspection of all fish. This position is in control of all sushi making ingredients in order to ensure quality control of raw materials. Our chefs working the sushi bar line create thoughtful omakase course for our guests nightly. This is NOT a roll-centric restaurant.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Upscale experience in sushi preparation and excellent customer service skills.
• Precise knife skills.

• Familiarity with upscale fresh fish types.
  • Sense of artistry in preparation of nigiri and sashimi as well as composed plates.
• Able to follow recipes and take initiative in a guest service focused environment.
  • Maintains a sense of urgency attitude for the completion of responsibilities/tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong team culture with chef colleagues, FOH crew, kitchen, prep, dish crew and leaders.
• Consistently maintaining a high degree of cleanliness and organization with appearance, throughout preparation area, and sushi bar.
  • Expediting and controlling quality of dishes.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00) plus tips

Estimated Weekly Tips: $800.00
