Job description

Surv builds stronger communities through social responsibility. By bridging social gaps, elevating workers, and meeting the needs of our customers and communities, all workers at Surv take pride in the way we serve the communities we operate in. Surv connects an aging population with local workers to complete honey-do lists through a monthly Surv+ membership and offers one off odd job scheduling.


About the role:

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for running day-to-day operations and guiding general business strategy, among many others.


What the day to day looks like:

  • It looks different everyday!

  • Oversee the assigned community(ies) operations

  • Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Oversee people, including meetings, talent acquisition, performance, training and development, work planning, develop work schedules, timesheet and time off approvals

  • Manage the communities budgets, reports and KPIs

  • Address escalated issues with customers

  • Manage community outreach programs

  • Research and implement new directives for business growth and prosperity

  • Local marketing management

  • Local worker retention efforts. This includes, but not limited to, organizing quarterly culture events for the assigned local community(s), promoting a fun and high performing culture at all times, alignment with the mission and core values of the organization.

  • Ability to interpret operational/financial reporting, ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Ability to motivate others to their best potential

  • Business storytelling skills

  • An example of what others should mirror within the organization


Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in home service industry.
  • At least 5 years of management, supervisor, or senior leadership role experience.
  • Bachelors degree in business, accounting, or other similar science preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience in years may be substituted.
  • Must have a smartphone and laptop. (A laptop may be able to be leased from Surv.)
  • Driving in the local community will be required in this role. A valid drivers license, automobile registration, and proof of insurance on personal vehicles used for business must be presented to the HR department.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting items upwards of 50 pounds on occasion


Compensation & Benefits:

Full time employment status

Compensation: Starting at $55,000 annually (DOE) + quarterly bonus on community profit

  • Hours: M-F, occasional Saturdays when needed

  • Paid holidays
