Support Services of Virginia (SSVA) is seeking compassionate individuals, couples, and families throughout Lynchburg, Amherst, Bedford, Campbell County, Appomattox, Forest, Madison Heights, Rustburg, Altavista, Farmville, Buckingham County, Charlotte County, and surrounding communities to become Sponsored Residential Providers.

This opportunity is a strong fit for people who want meaningful work from home while making a lasting difference. Sponsored Residential Providers welcome an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities into the home and provide support, encouragement, and a stable family environment.

Compensation

Sponsored Residential Providers can earn approximately $48,000-$124,000 annually, depending on the support needs of the individual(s) served and program funding levels. Payments are made on a biweekly basis.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Be active within the local community
  • Have at least six months of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Be comfortable using technology and electronic documentation systems
  • Demonstrate effective written communication skills
