Job description

With over twenty years of experience, Superior Surfacing is a family-owned specialty contractor specializing in high-end pool deck and patio resurfacing for homeowners in Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties.

For our Consulting Estimator position, we're looking for someone to manage client relationships and sales of high-value, low-pressure, luxury construction services. Demand for our premium rubberized pool deck systems is growing rapidly, creating an opportunity for the right sales professional to join a respected market leader. Luxury sales experience is highly valued. Construction experience is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.

This is not a high-pressure sales role. Our clients have already expressed interest in our services and have scheduled a complimentary on-site consultation. Your role is to visit their home, understand their goals, assess the project, provide expert recommendations, and guide them through the decision-making process with professionalism and confidence.

  • Base salary of $54,000 plus commission; commission for a successful candidate would add $20,000-50,000 to the base pay to bring total compensation to $74,000-104,000+. Commission begins after 3 month training period; initial training period would have higher base pay to offset lack of commission during training.

What You'll Do

  • Meet homeowners at scheduled on-site consultations
  • Assess project needs, take measurements, and evaluate site conditions
  • Present recommendations and provide detailed project proposals
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the pre-sale process
  • Build trust through expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and measurements
  • Conduct occasional follow-up with previous consultations
  • Represent Superior Surfacing at local trade shows and industry events (anticipated up to 3 weeks per year)
  • Continuously develop technical expertise in our specialty products and installation methods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with affluent or luxury clientele
  • Construction estimating or residential construction experience
  • Pool, outdoor living, remodeling, or home services background
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors for large portions of the day (typically in shaded environments)
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift 30 pounds
  • High school graduation required, some college preferred
  • Must submit a formatted resume (not auto-generated by the recruitment platform software)
