  • Provide strategic direction for design initiatives, aligning design outcomes with product goals and broader business objectives.

  • Mentor, coach, and support designers to strengthen team capability, encourage growth, and maintain high standards of craft.

  • Oversee the end-to-end design process, from discovery and concept development through refinement and delivery.

  • Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders to define priorities, clarify requirements, and drive alignment on product direction.

  • Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for thoughtful, research-informed decision-making.

  • Translate complex problems into clear, compelling, and effective design solutions.

  • Establish and promote best practices, design standards, and scalable processes to improve consistency and efficiency.

  • Review design work and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality, usability, and alignment with project objectives.

  • Help shape and communicate design vision, strategy, and rationale to a range of audiences.

  • Drive collaboration across teams to ensure design considerations are integrated throughout the product development process.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, team effectiveness, and the overall impact of design within the organization.

  • Support an environment of innovation, curiosity, and continuous improvement within the design team.

  • Contribute to the development of a strong, collaborative, and inclusive team environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in product design with demonstrated leadership or management responsibility.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Experience leading design projects across the full product development lifecycle.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex, fast-moving environments.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop designers while maintaining high standards for design quality.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business and user needs into effective design solutions.

  • Experience establishing or improving design processes, systems, or standards.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on guidance and execution oversight.

  • Commitment to delivering thoughtful, polished, and impactful product experiences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing or scaling design teams in a product-focused environment.

  • Background partnering closely with cross-functional teams to drive successful product outcomes.

  • Experience shaping design strategy for complex products or initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to build alignment and momentum around design decisions in collaborative environments.
