JOB TITLE: Truss Mechanic
JOB LOCATION: St. George, UT
REPORTING TO: Truss Foreman
FUNCTION: Under the direction of the shop supervisor, the shop mechanic is responsible for Preventative maintenance, repairs and installation of truss production equipment in Sunpro truss facilities
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
- Ensures that all truss equipment is in excellent working condition to avoid downtime and delays in production.
- Perform minor electrical repairs (including electronic controls), minor welding repairs, as well as equipment and plant maintenance repairs.
- Check and change all oils and perform proper lubrication in equipment.
- Maintain tools as required to perform job.
- Hold Medical card.
- Maintain insurable driving record.
- Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times. Offer training on best practices on equipment maintenance.
- Willing to travel to all truss locations as needed.
- Assist in other positions around the shop on an as needed basis. Including but not limited to table builder, sawyer, saw helper, moving and catching trusses, operating a forklift to move trusses and lumber in the yard, delivering trusses and other items to the job site.

- General mechanical background/aptitude.
- Minor welding abilities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to move at least 50 pounds.
