Job Summary:
Sunfire Solutions is a company that tackles engineering challenges with innovative solutions for government and commercial clients. They are seeking a Principal Cleared UI/UX Software Engineer to design and implement web-based applications, mentor junior team members, and lead technical challenges while collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Providing significant “ground up” UI/UX guidance, leading the design of web-based applications
• Designing completely new solutions, or modernizing existing applications
• Developing quick UI prototypes when necessary to showcase next-gen features
• Writing clean, professional code, and encouraging others to do the same
• Analyzing user experience, interactions, and usability to develop effective interfaces
• Driving consistency through component reuse, themeing, and style guides
• Collaborating with other engineers on system architecture, UI/UX concerns, and other application design elements
• Designing low and high fidelity mockups and wireframes that illustrate user interactions
• Troubleshooting and debugging technical issues
• Sharing technical knowledge with other developers
Qualifications:
Required:
• 15+ years of demonstrated software engineering experience in a front-end or full-stack capacity
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS (Less/Sass), and modern front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular, etc)
• Experience designing high-fidelity wireframes, mockups and other UI prototypes
• Extensive knowledge of REST APIs, JSON processing, JSON Web Tokens
• Experience with NPM, Node.js
• Knowledge of advanced web topics, worker threads, web sockets, storage APIs
• Knowledge of OO design patterns and software architectural patterns
• Familiarity with linux operating systems
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud deployments
• Active US Government Security Clearance (TS/SCI with active poly)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Willingness to take on challenges and learn new things
• Desire to be at the forefront of your field
• Ability to work individually or in groups
• BS/BA in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
