Position Overview

Suncrest Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Virginia City, Nevada. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with children from infancy through adolescence, helping them enhance their physical capabilities, improve mobility, and achieve vital developmental milestones. You will conduct thorough assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapy interventions to support the diverse needs of your patients.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite within a home care setting, offering flexibility and the unique chance to deliver therapy in the familiar environment of each child. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care. Our clinic is equipped with the latest technology and therapeutic tools to assist in delivering effective treatment plans. You will enjoy a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients using age-appropriate testing and observational techniques to establish their physical needs.
  • Create and implement tailored therapeutic interventions to improve motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility in children with various physical challenges.
  • Work closely with families, educators, and other healthcare providers, facilitating clear communication to optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Provide education to families and caregivers about exercises, stretches, and at-home activities that promote progress and support ongoing therapy.
  • Document patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans based on individual needs and improvements.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in pediatric physical therapy to enhance service delivery and therapy effectiveness.
  • Participate in collaborative team meetings and case discussions to share insights and strategies that contribute to comprehensive patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on children of all ages—from infants to teenagers—who may be experiencing a range of conditions, including orthopedic issues, developmental delays, neurological disorders, and more. Your work will be instrumental in shaping their physical development and functional independence, allowing children to engage fully in everyday activities.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Nevada.
  • Strong commitment to pediatric physical therapy and a demonstrated passion for working with children.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively communicate with families about complex therapy concepts in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, contributing your unique expertise to the group's collective knowledge.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in pediatric physical therapy is preferred, with familiarity in specific therapeutic techniques relevant to various pediatric conditions.
  • Experience in developing and implementing therapy plans that have led to successful patient outcomes.
  • Knowledge in the use of therapeutic equipment and modalities specific to pediatric care.
Compensation and Benefits

Suncrest Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000, complemented by performance-based incentives.
