Located in the picturesque Spring Creek, Nevada, our facility is dedicated to providing exceptional rehabilitation services to children facing physical challenges. In this full-time position, you will work collaboratively with a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver personalized care that fosters children's recovery, development, and joy.

Work Environment

You will be operating in an onsite hospital setting, where each day offers new challenges and opportunities to make a difference. Our facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and toys that create an engaging environment. Working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will benefit from a predictable schedule that promotes work-life balance while fully immersing yourself in your role as a PTA.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, ensuring they align with each patient’s specific goals and needs.

• Providing direct hands-on care, guiding children through exercises that enhance their mobility, strength, and coordination.

• Documenting patient progress meticulously and communicating any observations to the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as necessary.

• Engaging with families to educate them about the therapeutic process, providing essential home exercise programs, and sharing developmental strategies to promote continued growth outside of therapy sessions.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients, ensuring they have access to the best resources available.

• Creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages children during their rehabilitation journey, striving to make sessions enjoyable and effective.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on pediatric patients ranging from infants to adolescence who may be experiencing developmental delays, orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, or other physical limitations. Your role is essential in not only addressing their physical needs but also fostering a positive and encouraging therapeutic environment tailored to their age and capabilities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Nevada.

• A passion for pediatric therapy and a genuine desire to contribute to the well-being and development of children.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, their families, and your colleagues.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in pediatric physical therapy is preferred, it is not essential. We welcome candidates eager to learn and grow in this dynamic specialty. You should hold current CPR/First Aid certification, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients at all times.

Compensation and Benefits

Suncrest Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year, supplemented by a robust benefits package that includes:
