Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and detail-orientedStructural Technician/ Technologistto join our team in ourFredericton, NB office!

Help us shape our work environment and our culture by working collaboratively with other design and construction professionals on challenging and exciting structural engineering projects, as part of our thriving company.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing structural models and drawings of buildings and industrial structures utilizing Revit as a primary tool. AutoCad drawing preparation may be required from time to time;
  • Working closely with structural engineers, other structural technicians/technologists & project managers to ensure project deliverables are created efficiently and of high quality.;
  • Visiting project sites as required to take field measurements, notes etc.;
  • Utilize collaboration techniques for information management and implement Building Information Modelling (BIM);
  • Coordinating structural models with other disciplines; and
  • Review shop drawings; and
  • Performing field observation reviews during construction and issue summary reports.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • A diploma in Engineering Technology, CAD Technology, or Civil Technology preferred;
  • 2+ years progressive drafting experience as a modeling/drafting practitioner;
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD;
  • Good understanding of project construction practices and structural engineering drawings; and
  • Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills;

  • Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience.

To meet pay transparency requirements, compensation ranges are included for roles in locations where required by law. The salary range listed for this position represents the expected hiring range; actual starting compensation will vary based on factors such as professional experience, technical expertise, credentials, and alignment with the role's requirements, as well as internal compensation structures and market data. Beyond base salary, CBCL provides a comprehensive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits and a pension program from your first day of employment, along with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
