Position Summary

We are hiring two part-time Cooks to join our weekend dietary team. Cooks will be responsible for preparing meals according to established menus, maintaining safe food handling practices, and ensuring a clean and sanitary kitchen. You’ll work alongside our Dietary Manager and support staff to provide quality meals that meet both patient needs and regulatory standards.
Shift: Weekends Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM and 2nd shift PT

Job Description

· Prepare and serve meals according to menus and dietary requirements.

· Ensure food is handled, stored, and prepared safely and in compliance with health codes.

· Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.

· Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.

· Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and team members to ensure timely meals.

· Follow all Strive Recovery policies and procedures to support a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Prior experience as a cook in healthcare, food service, or hospitality setting preferred

· Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Reliable and punctual, with a positive and professional attitude
