Low Voltage Data Cabling Technician — Night Shift
Location: Colorado Springs, CO (on-site, 24/7 data center)
Pay Rate: Approximately $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience
Schedule: Night shift, either 5x8s (Sunday 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM through Friday morning) or 4x10s. Dedicated overnight coverage in a 24/7 data center environment.
About the Role
My client is looking for a Low Voltage Data Cabling Technician to join a night shift crew installing structured cabling inside a live, 24/7 data center. This is hands-on field work: pulling and terminating copper and fiber, labeling installed cable runs to spec, and working directly against customer-generated tickets and end users on-site.
Core Responsibilities
- Install preterminated Category 6 copper patch cords
- Install preterminated fiber optic patch cords and fiber trunk cables
- Print and install labels for all installed cabling per customer standards
- Work customer-generated tickets through the client's ticketing system to fulfill work requests
- Interface directly with the customer and the customer's end users during shift
Requirements
- Prior experience installing low voltage cabling (copper and fiber optic)
- Comfortable working full-time night shift hours in a live, mission-critical data center
- Able to work independently while following documented labeling and cabling standards
- Comfortable interfacing with customers and end users in a professional, client-facing setting
- Experience working within a ticketing system to manage and close out work orders is a plus

Fast-paced, structured, client-facing 24/7 data center. Work is ticket-driven and requires attention to detail, since cabling and labeling accuracy directly affect uptime and customer operations.
Schedule Detail
- 5x8 option: Sunday 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM through Monday, five nights per week, finishing Friday morning
- 4x10 option: four nights per week at 10 hours per shift
