Job description

Who We Are

We are a luxury stone design and manufacturing company whose work has been featured in Luxe, Architectural Digest, Traditional Home, and other leading publications. We partner with the country's top interior designers, architects, and builders to deliver heirloom-quality mantels, bathtubs, sinks, and custom architectural elements — products built to last generations.

Our showroom and manufacturing facility are located outside of Chicago, where craftsmanship meets precision every day on the production floor. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a driven and experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing team and ensure every piece that leaves our facility meets the exceptional standard our clients expect.

The Role

As Production Manager, you will be the backbone of our manufacturing operation. You'll oversee daily production from raw material to finished product, manage a skilled team of craftsmen and laborers, and work closely with our design and sales teams to keep projects on time and on spec. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be in the shop, on the floor, and in the details.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily manufacturing operations for cast stone and GFRC products
  • Plan and manage production schedules to meet project deadlines and client delivery windows
  • Lead, mentor, and hold accountable a team of production workers, finishers, and laborers
  • Maintain and enforce quality control standards at every stage of production
  • Coordinate with design and sales teams to review shop drawings, specs, and custom requirements
  • Manage raw material inventory, supplier relationships, and procurement
  • Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Ensure proper equipment maintenance, shop safety compliance, and OSHA standards
  • Track and report production KPIs to ownership
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training production staff
  • Oversee crating, packaging, loading, and logistics coordination for outbound deliveries

You Must Have

  • 3–7+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role
  • Experience in cast stone, GFRC, precast concrete, masonry, or a closely related trade strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead a team, manage schedules, and hit deadlines in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and finishing standards
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and architectural plans
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills — you stay calm under pressure
  • Experience with inventory management and basic procurement
  • Proficiency in computer tools (Google Suite, scheduling software, inventory systems)
  • Physical capability to work in a manufacturing environment; comfortable being on the shop floor daily
  • A hands-on, lead-by-example management style

Bonus Points

  • Experience with mold making, casting, patching, or surface finishing
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or 3D modeling software
  • Background working with luxury or custom product manufacturers
  • Experience coordinating with freight carriers or managing LTL/crating logistics

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Employee discount on products
  • Stable, full-time Monday–Friday schedule
  • A collaborative, creative environment where your work directly contributes to nationally recognized, high-end projects
  • Opportunity to grow with a company that is expanding its reach nationally

Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday Location: On-site — Greater Chicago Area Work Remotely: No
