Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and identify areas for improvement and support.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy employing evidence-based treatment methods, tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Develop, implement, and regularly assess individualized treatment plans that outline goals and therapeutic interventions, ensuring they are aligned with client needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to establish a cohesive care plan, enhancing client outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment, applying appropriate safety planning to address immediate client concerns.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with ethical and legal standards, ensuring the highest quality of care.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducational classes designed to build community and provide support among peers.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Step Forward Social Work, you will work primarily with adults in the detox process, addressing a variety of mental health needs. Your role will impact individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues, requiring a sensitive and skilled approach. You will assist clients in developing resilience and coping strategies, empowering them on their journey to recovery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure in Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working directly in a mental health or outpatient setting.
• Strong familiarity with therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage and support clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits
