Key Responsibilities

As an LCSW at Step By Step Social Work, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual psychotherapy to clients addressing mental health concerns linked to substance abuse.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
• Implementing various therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Maintaining meticulous clinical documentation that meets state and federal compliance regulations.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure cohesive care and support for our patients.
• Educating patients and their families about relevant mental health and substance abuse resources.
• Staying abreast of the latest research in the field and integrating this knowledge into practice.
• Effectively managing your caseload to meet treatment goals while adhering to ethical standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a therapeutic role, particularly in substance abuse treatment.
• Strong knowledge of solution-focused interventions.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and additional certifications or training related to substance abuse therapy are highly preferred. Experience with various therapeutic modalities will also be beneficial in enhancing patient outcomes.
