Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, individualized patient care within an outpatient setting, using proven therapeutic methods to address diverse patient needs.

• Implement treatment protocols tailored to each patient, based on comprehensive assessments and collaborative treatment plans developed with our experienced team.

• Conduct thorough evaluations, which encompass reviewing medical histories, performing specialized assessments, and providing actionable recommendations grounded in clinical evidence.

• Document patient encounters meticulously, which includes drafting initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries that accurately reflect the patient’s therapy journey.

• Foster effective communication with interdisciplinary team members, patients, their families, and, when necessary, insurance providers, to ensure clarity and coordination in care.

• Engage actively in ongoing education and training programs to maintain compliance with regulations and enhance your clinical skills.

• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure continuity and progression of patient treatment post-therapy.

• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, share insights, and contribute to clinic-wide initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Start Fit Physical Therapy, we primarily serve a diverse clientele dealing with orthopedic issues, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our patients range from active athletes to older adults seeking rehabilitation. Your expertise as a Physical Therapist will directly enhance their health outcomes, providing them with individualized assessments and rehabilitation plans to restore function and optimize mobility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

• A valid physical therapy license for the state of Virginia is required.

• Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient physiotherapy setting is preferred, demonstrating a solid understanding of musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly for documentation and billing purposes.

Compensation and Benefits

You will be rewarded with a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to this base salary, our benefits package includes:
