As a key member of our team, you will be transforming raw manufacturing data into actionable information and reports and facilitating informed decision-making for the team. This involves utilizing diverse approaches and leveraging available business intelligence tools to address aspects such as throughput, quality, downtime, and more. Additionally, as part of supporting the Maintenance Manager in the assigned manufacturing area within the Operations team, you will act as a backup Maintenance Supervisor. This collaborative effort extends to handling specific maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth functioning of operations in the designated area. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
    Roles & Responsibilities
    • Organize and analyze diverse sets of data (man, machine, process, quality, and maintenance) to identify trends, formulate hypotheses, and contribute to the design of predictive models.
    • Collaborate on daily, weekly, and monthly department reports covering safety, quality, production, and key performance indicators (OEE, MTTR, MTBF, MTBE, etc.).
    • Maintain a cross-functional schedule for meetings, training, assignments, team-building, and assigned projects.
    • Supervise maintenance technicians or other maintenance staff as needed and ensure effective performance.
    • Serve as a communication bridge between the shop floor and support functions, enhancing communication channels and data quality.
    • Facilitate employee training, cost improvement proposals, and departmental promotional initiatives.
    • Execute real-time data synthesis using analytical tools, manage consumable materials ordering, and collaborate with the finance department for accounting processes.
    • Perform other position related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
    • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.

    • While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international).
    • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive.
    • Experience in a supervisory role.
    • 3 years of proven expertise in data analytics.

    Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
    • Proven proficiency in continuous improvement systems and hands-on experience in lean manufacturing methodologies.
    • Certifications/proven skills in Excel, VBA, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or other data tools.
    • Exceptional organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
    • Proficient in establishing impactful cross-functional relationships internally and externally.
    • Demonstrated technical problem-solving proficiency.
    • Comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Willingness and ability to work overtime as required.

    Working Conditions:
    • Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals.
    • Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function.
    • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
    • To safely perform the essential functions of the position, you must be able to distinguish colors.
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
    • Travel may be required at times (domestic/international).
