Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to clients' unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure well-rounded patient care that addresses the emotional and psychological needs of clients.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical documentation that adheres to all legal requirements and ethical standards, ensuring patient privacy and compliance.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health practices and research.
  • Provide counseling and support for clients facing varied challenges including stress management, work-life balance, and inter-personal conflicts.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at St. Luke's, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families. Our patients may be dealing with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and various life adjustments. We take pride in providing tailored support that meets each client's unique journey toward mental health recovery and personal development.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
  • At least two years of clinical counseling experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards governing counseling practices.
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse population.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a healthcare team to provide exceptional client care.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant technologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples counseling, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse treatment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a community health setting is an added advantage.
