St. Elara Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become an integral part of our on-site rehabilitation team within Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) in Princeton, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position is based onsite within various Assisted Living Facilities, where you will work directly in the homes of aging adults. Our facilities are designed to promote a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where residents can thrive. The role involves a Monday to Friday schedule, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing work-life balance while ensuring consistent care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute treatment plans tailored by licensed Physical Therapists, focusing on orthopedic recovery and mobility enhancement for residents.
  • Provide empathetic, detail-oriented rehabilitation services that align with best clinical practices.
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to treatment outcomes, documenting findings promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care, ensuring all aspects of a patient’s health are addressed.
  • Establish trusting relationships with residents, their caregivers, and facility staff to foster a supportive rehabilitation environment.
  • Utilize a user-friendly mobile EMR system to maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at St. Elara Medical Center, you will primarily serve elderly residents in Assisted Living Facilities. This patient population often requires specialized care tailored to address the complexities of aging, including chronic pain management and mobility challenges. Your role is pivotal in enabling these individuals to reclaim their independence and improve their quality of life, making the differences between enhanced mobility and non-activity.

Qualifications
  • An active New Jersey State PTA license is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or a related field is necessary.
  • Demonstrated commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors and promoting their independence.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a PTA, preferably in settings such as outpatient clinics, geriatrics, home care, or skilled nursing facilities (SNF).
  • Experience delivering care in residential settings will be highly regarded.
  • Strong skills in communication, time management, and the ability to adapt to the dynamics of a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Compensation and Benefits

St. Elara Medical Center values its staff members and offers a competitive salary range between $60,000 and $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
