Summary:

The Maintenance Assistant person needs to have high energy, understand time management, and have great attention to detail. They are responsible for the overall watering and plant maintenance and will assist with assignments across several different departments including set-up, teardown and storage of all event space used for functions. This includes but is not limited to tables, chairs, dance floors, linens, and other Saint Clements Castle event equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding event details.
• Watering and deadheading of flowers.
• Empty exterior ashtrays and garbage.
• Assist with setting up and break down of interior and exterior tables, chairs, linens, dance floors and ceremony sites per the Function Order and floor plans provided by management.
• Mow areas not maintained by lawn service.
• Clean ceremony chairs semi-monthly.
• Assist in any maintenance or housekeeping duties as needed, including leaf blowing and snow plowing.
• Other duties as assigned including dishwashing and kitchen help.
• Maintaining knowledge and adhering to all Saint Clements Castle policies and procedures established by the company, including but not limited to those in the employee handbook.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, weekends and nights as needed.
• Must be available to open and close the facility as needed.
• Must have a high level of energy.
• Must work well with others.
• Must be able to lift, bend and move up to 50 pounds, regularly.
