The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient care by evaluating patients, ordering necessary imaging, and prescribing effective treatment plans. Work Environment

The Physician Assistant in our Pain Management team will work onsite in our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, where a collaborative atmosphere fosters learning and teamwork. Here, you will interact with a diverse population of patients, each presenting unique challenges and treatment needs. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing our staff a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality clinical care by assessing patients' health conditions and recommending appropriate interventions in line with established protocols.
  • Evaluate patient histories and perform physical examinations to diagnose pain-related issues, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, collaborating with the healthcare team to tailor personalized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe non-narcotic medications and physical therapy options, demonstrating a commitment to non-invasive pain management strategies.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records to maintain compliance and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals to deliver coordinated care, and participate actively in team meetings.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns effectively, ensuring a high standard of care and building strong patient-provider relationships.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily serve adults dealing with acute and chronic pain conditions. Our patient demographic is diverse, ranging from individuals suffering from sports injuries to those experiencing debilitating pain from chronic conditions. The role requires a keen understanding of pain management protocols and the ability to develop personalized treatment plans that resonate with each patient’s individual circumstances and lifestyle.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Active and unrestricted State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a healthcare setting is essential, ideally focused on pain management or a related specialty.
  • Strong skills in conducting comprehensive physical examinations, combined with the ability to make sound clinical judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in pain management techniques, including interventional procedures, is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation practices.
  • Prior involvement in collaborative healthcare teams, enhancing patient outcomes through teamwork.
Compensation and Benefits
