Commissary Teammate

The role of a Commissary Teammate at The Spinx Company requires the employee to work effectively in a team environment, provide outstanding customer service, accurately and efficiently conduct various financial transactions while creating a welcoming environment in support of our Company Policies, Core Values and Operations Priorities.

Job Summary

Deliver and service Fresh On The Go commissary prepared products for all company owned and operated convenience stores. This individual will deliver, restock and service FOTG, Bakery and Fruit cases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include The Following But Are Not Limited To
  • Responsible for quantity and accuracy of all prepared items and orders shipped from the facility.
  • Ensure finished products are accurately sorted and packed according to delivery route.
  • Ensures finished products are safely delivered to stores according to standards set by the company.
  • Ensures expired products are removed from cases and accounted for.
  • Ensures expired products are brought back to facility for waste accounting and disposal.
  • Ensures finished products are stocked within the specific cases according to product planograms.
  • Works directly with store associates to make sure all daily food item needs are met.
  • Conducts delivery day planogram compliance checks and makes corrections as needed.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws concerning driver training and safety.
  • Follows all standard operating practices as set by the Spinx Company for the production facility.
  • Responsible and accountable for the commissary equipment, truck, shipping and receiving area of the facility, its sanitation, physical image, maintenance, equipment, and inventory.
  • Responsible for product ordering to meet the next day's store and production needs.
  • Assists with delivery schedules.
  • Ensures daily completion of all reports e.g., receiving logs, cleaning logs, temperature logs.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Available to work nights and weekends due to the nature of delivery schedules.
Education & Experience
  • Two to four years of delivery service experience.

Communications Skills: Effectively present information to store and office personnel and receive information from suppliers. Superior phone and typing skills are a plus.

Math Abilities: Ability to work with and apply math concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.

Reasoning Abilities: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where standard responses are not available.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations: State issued driver's license, NRE Certification or equivalent.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

The Commissary Teammate must be available to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Commissary Teammate may be expected to periodically participate in company sponsored training classes related to his/her job.
