Job description

Company Details: Spectrum Plastics Group is a global supplier with 19 sites around the world. SPG provides plastic extrusions, injection molded components, packaging, and films to the medical, food and industrial markets.
Flexibles Division: We are a custom, scalable extruder and converter of advanced flexible packaging for both sterile and nonsterile applications that service the medical, food and industrial markets.
Scope of the Role: Reporting to the Vice President of Sales - Flexibles, this sales leadership position will have full commercial responsibility and accountability for our Flexibles portfolio within the defined territory Northeast). The objectives will be focused on year-over-year profitable net revenue growth, with a strong emphasis on the monthly deliverables required in uncovering and closing new opportunities.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Support, deliver and implement SPG's go-to-market strategy for the flexibles portfolio, that includes establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship and partnership with SPG's manufacturing sites during the entire selling process and beyond, to ensure customer success
  • Develop successful win-win business relationships with customers (internal & external) that leads to profitable year-over-year net revenue growth
  • Attend and participate in trade show activities to network and generate new business opportunities
  • Provide and present market and customer intelligence to the SPG Executive Management Team in a manner that is professional, easy to understand and analyze
  • Fully utilize Salesforce.com, a web-based Customer Relationship Management operating system used by SPG to effectively communicate and manage the process of aligning daily efforts with the annual strategic plan and ensure information is updated regularly
  • Support reporting requirements and cadence, as communicated by SPG management
  • Work closely with:
  • Plant leadership teams to research potential new product offerings
  • All associates within the expanded SPG sales and marketing teams to reinforce a ONE SPG Team selling environment
  • Program management, customer service and engineering teams as required
  • Provide the professional leadership skills that will consistently support and deliver SPG core values
  • Participate and support key industry organizations and functions to promote the mission, value statements and objectives as outlined in the annual business plan
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential threats
  • Develop and present presentations to showcase the company's capabilities and value proposition
  • All other duties, as assigned

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience with flexible packaging and film product lines
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to influence internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational skills supported by a self-disciplined operating structure
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, build relationships, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to share your findings, observations, and opportunities with a wide audience
  • Computer Skills to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce.com and other business and database programs
  • Strong business analytical skills
