Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for technology and a desire to learn?  As a Design Verification Testing (DVT) Test Engineer II, you will play a vital role in ensuring the excellence and reliability of Spectra Logic’s cutting-edge storage platforms.
In this foundational engineering role, you will actively learn system behaviors, collaborate with brilliant engineering teams, and directly contribute to the consistent delivery of high-quality, impactful product releases. If you love discovering how complex systems work and ensuring they run flawlessly, you will thrive here!
 
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
  • Validate Innovation: Execute user functional test cases to validate system workflows and new feature behaviors across our advanced storage platforms.
  • Be the Guardian of Quality: Document test results and defects clearly, ensuring full traceability and open communication across teams.
  • Problem Solve & Verify: Collaborate closely with developers to validate fixes and regressions, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Build & Maintain: Support the setup and preparation of dynamic test environments to ensure systems are ready for validation.
  • Champion Best Practices: Follow and contribute to established testing processes to ensure reliable, repeatable, and high-standard validation.
  • Expand Your Skillset: Dive into the fundamentals of test case creation, structured documentation, and industry-standard testing methodologies.
  • Master Storage Tech: Develop a deep understanding of complex data storage concepts and modern system workflows.
  • Collaborate and Grow: Work hand-in-hand with experienced team members who are dedicated to mentoring you and helping you build a successful engineering career.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Analytical Thinker: A natural curiosity with strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Process-Oriented: An ability to follow structured processes while staying adaptable in a learning environment.
  • Tech-Savvy Foundation: A basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments.

Education & Experience
  • Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
 
Compensation: $80 - 110K/ year.  While this salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, a candidate’s actual salary will be competitive based on a variety of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
