Work Environment

In this remote role, you will work from the comfort of your home, facilitating sessions via telemedicine while also having the option for in-person consultations at our community health clinic in Irvine, California. This hybrid approach allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance, engaging with patients on your schedule while still having the support of a dedicated team. You will be able to manage caseloads efficiently and effectively, contributing to meaningful therapeutic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at Southeast Behavioral Health PC, your daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Designing personalized therapy strategies tailored to the individual needs of clients.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs and develop therapeutic plans.
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential clinical records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure holistic client care, including case conferences and treatment plan reviews.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to enhance your clinical skills and stay abreast of the latest mental health research.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will primarily consist of adult clients from various socio-economic backgrounds, many of whom may be facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, and relationship issues. You will play a critical role in facilitating their recovery journey through targeted interventions aimed at achieving lasting mental health improvements.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
  • A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • A comprehensive understanding of ethical and legal standards pertinent to providing mental health care.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and effectively communicate with a range of clients.
Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experiences and skills would enhance your candidacy:

  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment.
  • A demonstrated ability to utilize various therapeutic techniques and a strong familiarity with the latest mental health trends and practices.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, contingent upon experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous compensation package, we provide:
