Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to create personalized therapy strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
• Provide various therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic client care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, meeting all legal and ethical standards, while prioritizing client confidentiality.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to remain current on mental health research and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Soul Escape Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Many of our clients come from various socioeconomic backgrounds and face barriers to access mental health services. Your empathetic approach will be integral in supporting them through their journeys toward emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• At least two years of experience in a counseling setting, with a strong emphasis on clinical applications.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards governing professional counseling practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in specific areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• A proven ability to collaborate effectively with a team of healthcare providers, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and other relevant technology that aids in client management.

Compensation and Benefits
