Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Sondermind Counseling Center, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual and couples therapy across a broad age range, ensuring that you tailor your therapeutic techniques to meet the specific needs of each client.
• Utilizing a professional billing service to manage claims, providing seamless operations in client and insurance account receivables, including benefit checks and payment plans.
• Maintaining detailed and timely records for all client sessions, which is critical for ongoing assessment and care planning.
• Scheduling and managing ongoing appointments, ensuring that your calendar remains organized and current to optimize client attendance and therapy continuity.
• Exhibiting versatility in working with clients presenting diverse clinical issues, allowing you to apply best practices tailored to each individual’s therapeutic journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be serving clients in a detox setting, which presents unique challenges and rewards. This role allows you to support individuals struggling with substance use disorders and mental health issues, enabling them to find recovery paths through empathetic and informed treatment approaches. Your ability to build trust and rapport with clients will be instrumental in their therapy process.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, with a preference for those holding a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Social Work.
• Current independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, ethical boundaries, and cultural competency in all interactions.
• Strong self-motivation and organizational skills are critical to manage case loads and scheduling effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective client interactions and documentation.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experiences will be highly valued:

• Experience in a detox or rehabilitation environment is preferred, giving you a deeper understanding of the client population's needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Sondermind Counseling Center offers competitive compensation with a yearly salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, along with performance-related bonuses. Benefits for full-time employees include:
