Somm Time

Somm Time is a wine bar on the Lower East Side and we want every guest who walks in to feel like they're welcome. We're looking for a sommelier who's as excited about interesting wine and loves sharing what they know in a way that puts people at ease.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Guide guests through our by-the-glass and bottle list with genuine enthusiasm
- You will be in a key holder position. As a key holder, you'll be trusted with opening and closing the space, unlocking and securing the bar, and making sure everything is set up (or buttoned down) properly at the start and end of the night. This role comes with extra responsibility: you're often the first person in and the last one out, handling cash drawer setup/counts, light troubleshooting, and making sure the space is guest ready or properly secured. It's a step in trust and accountability, usually reserved for reliable, experienced team members.
- Help maintain and evolve our wine list alongside our wine director
- Stay sharp on inventory, storage, and service standards
- Support private events and tastings

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5 years service experience in a bar or restaurant setting
- A teaching instinct, you like making wine feel approachable, not intimidating
- Reliability, good attitude, and exceptional work ethic
