You'll take on a pivotal role ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of sophisticated web and mobile SaaS applications. As the primary QA Engineer within a dynamic project team, you'll partner with Software Developers, Product Managers, Manual QA Engineers, and Automation Engineers to build and execute comprehensive testing strategies that drive product excellence.This position is your gateway to advancing your QA career, offering clear pathways toward QA Lead or Manager roles while mentoring the next generation of quality assurance professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesYou'll define and implement risk-based testing strategies tailored to specific software projects while developing detailed test plans, test cases, and quality assurance protocols. Your day-to-day work includes executing functional testing, documenting results with precision, and managing testing schedules across multiple concurrent projects in rapid development environments.You'll identify quality risks early and deploy effective mitigation strategies. Your analytical mindset will shine as you analyze, document, track, and report software defects throughout the entire development lifecycle. Database validation is within your wheelhouse, including writing and executing complex database queries to confirm application functionality at all system levels.Communication is central to success here. You'll keep project stakeholders informed about testing status, emerging risks, blockers, and quality metrics. You'll collaborate closely with Test Automation Engineers to expand automation coverage and boost testing efficiency, while contributing to the development and maintenance of automated tests as needed.Working with both functional and performance/load testing tools, you'll validate application quality and scalability across multi-tiered architectures. You'll participate actively in Agile and Scrum ceremonies, support continuous delivery initiatives, and troubleshoot complex application issues to help engineering teams identify root causes.Beyond individual contributions, you'll drive continuous improvements to QA processes, methodologies, tools, and infrastructure. Mentoring junior QA Engineers on technical concepts and best practices is an integral part of your role, as is championing software development and testing process improvement initiatives.Required QualificationsYou bring a minimum of six years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, Product Development, or closely related roles. Your background demonstrates comprehensive mastery of the complete Software Development Life Cycle, from requirements analysis through production release and post-release support.You have extensive hands-on experience testing multi-tiered, web-based, SaaS, and mobile applications using both manual and functional testing approaches. You're skilled at creating comprehensive test plans, strategies, test cases, procedures, and testing documentation that guide effective quality assurance efforts.Your technical toolkit includes proficiency with risk-based testing methodologies, functional and performance/load testing tools, and test automation frameworks. You're comfortable writing and executing SQL and database queries for thorough testing and data validation. You understand defect tracking systems, reporting mechanisms, and QA metrics that demonstrate testing effectiveness.Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities define your problem-solving approach. Experience collaborating with Software Development, Product Management, Manual QA, and Automation teams is essential. You demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and demanding deadlines without sacrificing quality.Your educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or you possess equivalent professional experience that demonstrates the same knowledge and expertise.You communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, possess excellent organizational and time-management skills, and thrive working in Agile software development environments.Preferred QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with Selenium represents a significant advantage. You may have direct experience in test automation development, performance and load testing, or testing enterprise SaaS platforms. Prior experience serving as a QA Lead or technical mentor within testing teams is valued. You're comfortable working in fast-paced environments with aggressive release schedules.
