Medication Officer

At Sojourner House, you'll become part of a team helping women overcome substance use disorders while rebuilding their lives alongside their children. Every medication you distribute, every appointment you coordinate, and every interaction you have contributes to someone's recovery journey.

What You'll Do

Safely distribute prescribed medications

Maintain medication inventory and controlled substances

Coordinate medical, psychiatric, dental, and specialty appointments

Maintain Medication Administration Records (MARs) and electronic documentation

Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, and treatment providers

Train and support staff on medication administration procedures

Build trusting relationships with women as they work toward recovery

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

Required

  • Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current CPR Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain required clearances

Preferred

  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, residential treatment, or community healthcare
  • Medication administration experience
