Job description

Job Overview:

We are looking for 1-2 board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Our in-home/community company is small, and we as BCBAs do all direct work (no RBTs to supervise!). This job posting is for a 1099/independent contractor position. If you have ever been interested in starting your own company but are unsure how to, this is the perfect jumping-off contract position!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform intakes and assessments; write treatment plans and authorization requests as required by insurers/funding sources
  • Provide 1:1 direct ABA services for children, teens, and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities or neurodivergences
  • Support caregivers with family guidance/collaboration training
  • Submit session/progress notes as required by insurers/funding sources

What Social Cues brings to the table:

We are a disability-friendly company run by neurodivergent BCBAs. Our services are neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed, and assent-based.

As an independent contractor, you will be able to set your own schedule—no "billable hours" requirement! We offer community, support, resources, and free continuing education (CEUs). We can also help you set up your private ABA company if that is what you choose to do.

We can find clients for you (we have a waitlist). We will also take care of the administrative side of the business, so you can concentrate on doing what you do best: supporting autistic children and teens!

What YOU bring to the table:

  • board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) (required)
  • licensed behavior analyst (LBA) in Virginia or willing and able to be licensed in VA before beginning work (required)
  • a valid VA business license OR the willingness and ability to obtain one (we can help direct you through this process) - as a 1099/independent contractor, you must be your own business
  • a clear background check

Benefits:

  • Continuing education credits
  • Flexible schedule
  • Professional development assistance
