Snyders Metal Processing

Snyders Metal Processing is a metal recycling facility. We mainly focus on Non-ferrous metal. We purchase, package and sell scrap metal to Mills and other processors to be refined back to reusable material.

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for performing various physical tasks to support our operations. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with their hands and have a strong work ethic.

Duties:

- Assist customers in unloading and weighing delivered materials and metal.

- Maintain quality of scrap being prepared for shipment.

- Learn the ability to grade metals and sort into correct categories.

- Assist team in sorting, lifting and placing materials, metals or items in bins, boxes or balers according to organizational standards.

- Receive and stack used batteries and clean aluminum wheels.

- Operate equipment such as balers, shears, various saws, power and hand tools.

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

- Wear proper safety equipment.

- Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks

- Follow safety protocols.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.

- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills:

- Proficiency in using saws, power and hand tools

- Knowledge of warehouse safety and procedures

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Qualifications:

- Ability to lift heavy items, occasionally up to 100lbs. Team lift when necessary.

- Ability to work on your feet primarily throughout an entire work shift.

- Ability to stay focused and work carefully and safely at all times.

- Ability to work indoor and outdoor in rain, snow or shine.
