Account Directorย 

Job summary:ย 

The Account Director is the "face" of Snow to the client, reporting to the Associate Vice President/Vice President. This person isย ultimately responsibleย for ensuring that clients' expectations are being exceededย in regard toย the specifications outlined in agreed-upon Statements of Work (SOW). Account Team members, even more so than other team members, must be able toย anticipateย needs, be influential without authority, andย sell the services of Snow at all times. Theyย are responsible forย having a good understanding of the brand strategy and marketing goals, as well as an understanding of the clients' unique skills or gaps in performance and communication. Account Directors must have strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. They must also be able to balance the needs of the clients with the needs of Snow's business. They must have the ability to quickly build trust and credibility with the clients. Theyย are responsible forย communicating the status of an account to their superiors, their peers, and their subordinates. In addition, theyย are responsible forย daily communication with the clients.ย 

Snow's business isย centeredย around the patient journey, and the Account Director, like all positions at Snow, must be open, compassionate, and sensitive to the unique life experiences of these patients and caregivers. The Account Director must be able to incorporate the unique patient/caregiver experience into the strategies and solutions we provide to our clients.ย 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESย 

The Account Director must be able to perform the following essential duties and functions:ย 

  • Conduct regular meetings with the Account Teamย 
  • Maintain close contact with everyone on the team and be aware of all ongoing projectsย 
  • Provide support, guidance, and resources as necessaryย 
  • Confer with Account Team for internal issue resolutions related to project deliverablesย 
  • Review ongoing performance results andย identifyย needs of team membersย 
  • Implement coaching or mentoring partnerships as appropriateย 
  • Interview potential team candidatesย 
  • Keep VPs apprised of key issuesย regardingย account statusย 
  • Manage the workload of the team members assigned to the brand, ensuring that all tactics contained in the SOW are being executed in a professional andย timelyย mannerย 
  • Ensure that all team members understand and are involved with key client expectationsย 
  • Review and approve all materials before client reviewย 
  • Partner and collaborate with Creative Team (in terms of brand strategy) for development of materialsย 
  • Oversee the production and development of marketing materials and procedures for disseminationย 
  • Recommendย appropriate policiesย regardingย pricing, promotion, product and market evaluations, and marketing strategiesย 
  • Supervise client invoicing and budgeting processย 
  • Analyzeย profits and lossesย 
  • Develop SOWs for clientsย 
  • Analyzeย business developments and consult trade and marketing journals toย monitorย trends andย determineย opportunitiesย 
  • Look for opportunities to "upsell" Snow's programs and servicesย 
  • Confer and collaborate with VP to develop strategic recommendations to clientsย 
  • Manage multiple accountsย 
  • Prepare for and attends strategic planning meetings with clientsย 
  • Identify, research, and propose new areas for business growthย 

Weekend & Night Workย 

Although your day-to-day work should primarily take place during regular office hours (8:30 AM- 6:00 PM, Monday-Friday), there will be occasions when youย are required toย work late into the evening and/or over the weekend.ย 

Flexibility:ย 

The core business hours that you work may change based on business needs, and shifts may change from time to time.ย 

Collaboration / Teamwork:ย 

The size and nature of our company will require that you work in collaboration with people in other departments. Candidates mustย demonstrateย their willingness/ability to step into other roles as needed to drive the success of the company. Candidates will need toย demonstrateย their ability to be contributing members of a team with goals that are broader than an individual job description or function.ย 

Language Skills/Communication:ย 

Candidates must have the ability to read andย comprehendย general documents relating to the Pharmaceutical/Bio-technology industry that include but are not limited to medical education, medical periodicals, clinical trial data, package inserts, medical procedures, industry regulations, and reimbursement/tax guidelines. Candidates must have the ability to prepare and present business reports and correspondences. Candidates will haveย demonstratedย their ability to effectively and professionally communicate with managers, clients, customers, Ambassadors, and theย general public. Working with patients requires the candidates to exercise discretion and empathy as patients are living with chronic conditions. Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.ย 

Travel:ย 

Travel is a fundamental part of the Account Director position. From time to time, it may be necessary to travel to support your team/complete your job tasks. Candidates must be able toย fulfillย the specific travel requirements of their role. Travel expectation: 25%.ย 

Travel will include, but is not limited to traveling:ย 

  • To client/partner locations to attend meetingsย 
  • To event locations to provide support/directionย 
  • To shoot locations to provide support/directionย 

Patient Privacy:ย 

The core of our business is working with patients. It is most likely that you willย come in contact withย Personal Consumer Information (PCI) of patients living with chronic conditions. It will beย requiredย that you take training courses that include, but are not limited to:ย 

  • Snow Policy Trainingย 
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)ย 
  • Adverse Event (AE) Reporting Trainingย 
  • US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Trainingย 

Computer skills:ย 

Candidates must have excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including:ย 

  • Word processors (Word)ย 
  • Spreadsheets (Excel)ย 
  • Presentation software (PowerPoint)ย 
  • Email (Outlook)ย 
  • Internet and World Wide Webย 

Mathematical skills:ย ย 

Candidates will have the ability toย comprehendย and use basic mathematics as well as business statistics, including percentages, ratios, discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.ย 

Reasoning ability:ย 

Account Directors will have the ability toย identifyย and define problems while applying effective problem-solving skills through collecting data,ย establishingย facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Candidates will have the ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They will have the ability to interpret a variety of instructionsย furnishedย in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Candidates will be capable of applying industry benchmarks to create standardized practices. Candidates selected for the Account Director position are expected to take responsibility forย numerousย additionalย tasks, including, but are not limited to:ย 

  • Creation of strategic and succinct PowerPoint presentations/Word documents based on ambiguous and often absent data/informationย 
  • Articulation in verbal and written form the capabilities of the corporation and how they can support clients' needsย 
  • Effective "selling" of Snow's services to current and prospective clientsย
