CNC Machinist
Louisville, KY | $30.00-$35.00/hr (Pay DOE)

Snelling Staffing is recruiting for a skilled CNC Machinist to join a well-established Louisville manufacturer. This opportunity is ideal for someone with CNC programming and setup experience who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components.
Training Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM (1st Shift)
Regular Schedule (Beginning October 2026): Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM-2:00 AM (2nd Shift)
Responsibilities:
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and dimensional tolerances.
  • Write and modify CNC programs using G-Code and/or conversational programming.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
  • Set up fixtures and tooling with minimal supervision.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Maintain quality standards while following all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience or completion of a machining apprenticeship/vocational program preferred.
  • Experience with CNC setup, programming, and operation.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
  • Proficient with precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong math skills, including basic trigonometry.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
