Job Summary:
Smarty is a self-funded, profitable, and growing SaaS company recognized as one of Utah's Top Workplaces. They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to contribute to product strategy and partner with engineering, marketing, and sales to enhance their core location intelligence solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Smarty's core location intelligence solutions, including address validation, geocoding, and address enrichment
• Own defined areas of the product life cycle end-to-end, from requirements through launch and iteration
• Define and track success metrics for your product areas, using data to drive prioritization and demonstrate business impact
• Write clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation including PRDs, release notes, and feature specs
• Research user needs and advocate for the customer experience across the full lifecycle, from onboarding and activation through retention
• Build strong working relationships across engineering, marketing, sales, and UX
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in software product management, preferably in a SaaS environment
• Experienced writing product requirements and user stories with the clarity and detail engineering teams need to execute
• Proficient with product analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Heap, or similar) and comfortable pulling or working with data to inform decisions
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate research, documentation, and analysis, and curious about how AI and ML can improve data quality and product intelligence
• A strong cross-functional collaborator who builds trust quickly and can align engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support around a shared product direction
• Strong communicator who can explain complex tradeoffs clearly to any audience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred:
• familiarity with location intelligence, GIS, address validation, or geocoding
