Job description
Salary: $30-32/HR
If youre a disciplined, honest Maintenance Technician who shows up, fixes issues correctly the first time, and closes work orders thoroughly, we want to speak with you. Were a steady, resident-first team that supports you with parts, planning, and respect.
What Youll Do Day to Day
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents and complete thorough move-out inspections
- Diagnose and resolve maintenance requests quickly and correctly
- Repair plumbing issues from leaky faucets to clogged drains
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and replace fixtures or devices
- Patch drywall, paint, and complete light carpentry projects
- Install or repair vinyl flooring and appliances
- Keep accurate records of work and inventory in our maintenance system
- Identify and escalate larger projects or safety concerns to management
What You Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on apartment or residential maintenance experience
- Strong skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair
- Ability to work independently and complete work orders efficiently
- Basic hand and power tools of your own
- Reliable truck or van, valid drivers license, and insurance
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Nice to Have
- Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing
- Experience with maintenance software or mobile work order systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Desire to grow into a supervisory or leadership role
Not a Fit If You
- Struggle with punctuality, follow-through, or consistent attendance
- Are uncomfortable working independently or handling a fast-paced workload
- Cut corners on safety or quality to save time
- Avoid communication or lack accountability for completed work
