Position Summary

The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machinery, machining centers, robotics, and supporting manufacturing equipment. This position utilizes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic diagnostic equipment to ensure equipment reliability and maximize uptime.

The successful candidate will perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities, update maintenance records through a CMMS system, and respond to equipment failures with urgency to minimize production downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines, manual equipment, machining centers, and robotics.
  • Install and maintain machine tool equipment and control systems.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software-related issues.
  • Interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic schematics and technical documentation.
  • Research machine issues utilizing OEM manuals, technical documents, and vendor resources.
  • Perform machine alignments using conventional, laser, and electronic methods.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify and correct machine alignments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC variable-speed drive systems.
  • Identify and service various pump types and related systems.
  • Complete preventative and planned maintenance activities.
  • Generate and track maintenance activities through the CMMS system.
  • Provide daily maintenance updates and status reports.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis.
  • Follow safe rigging practices and established safety procedures.
  • Respond promptly to machine-down situations to support production requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC maintenance experience.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machine operation and design.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics, manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Demonstrated industrial mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Experience using electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment screenings, including drug and background checks.
