Job description

Healthcare Business Development Representative (Outside Sales)

Part-Time | Field-Based | Frisco, TX (DFW Territory)

Schedule: Approximately 25 hours per week (Highly Flexible)

Compensation: $2728/hour + Performance Milestone Bonuses

Build Relationships. Open Doors. Grow a Professional Network.

We're a Frisco-based boutique professional services firm serving the healthcare industry with an established reputation, strong referral network, and proven marketing engine.

We're looking for an experienced Outside Business Development Representative who enjoys getting out into the community, meeting people, building trust, and creating long-term professional relationships.

This is not a desk job.

This is not an account management position.

This is not inside sales.

Your success will come from being in the field, meeting healthcare professionals, developing referral partners, and representing our firm throughout the DFW healthcare community.

If you're energized by networking, building relationships, and creating new opportunities, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As our Business Development Representative, you'll manage your own territory throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex while building long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and business leaders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Visit physician offices, healthcare organizations, and professional businesses throughout DFW.
  • Develop new referral relationships with healthcare professionals and business partners.
  • Network with physicians, practice administrators, healthcare executives, CPAs, bankers, consultants, and other referral sources.
  • Attend healthcare networking events, business mixers, Chamber of Commerce events, and community functions.
  • Research target organizations and decision-makers for strategic outreach.
  • Schedule meetings for firm leadership with prospective referral partners.
  • Assist with educational seminars, workshops, networking events, and speaking engagements.
  • Maintain detailed CRM records and follow-up schedules.
  • Represent the firm professionally within the healthcare community.

While you'll maintain relationships you create, your primary responsibility is building new ones.

What Makes Someone Successful

The ideal candidate naturally enjoys meeting people and building trust.

You'll likely succeed if you are:

  • Highly personable and professional.
  • Comfortable introducing yourself to new people every day.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own schedule.
  • Organized with excellent follow-up habits.
  • Persistent without being pushy.
  • Comfortable speaking with physicians, practice owners, executives, and business leaders.
  • Curious, resourceful, and proactive in identifying new opportunities.
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision.

Preferred Experience

We're looking for professionals with 3+ years in one or more of the following:

  • Outside Sales
  • Business Development
  • Healthcare Business Development
  • Physician Liaison
  • Medical Device Sales
  • Pharmaceutical Sales
  • Healthcare Outreach
  • Strategic Partnerships
  • Territory Sales
  • Commercial Banking Relationship Management
  • Professional Services Business Development
  • B2B Sales
  • Healthcare Recruiting
  • Community or Economic Development

Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred but not required for candidates with exceptional business development backgrounds.

What Success Looks Like

Success isn't measured by the number of phone calls you make.

Success is measured by:

  • Building trusted referral relationships.
  • Opening doors to new organizations.
  • Expanding our professional network throughout DFW.
  • Creating opportunities for meaningful long-term partnerships.
  • Representing the firm with professionalism and credibility.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Flexible 25-hour work schedule.
  • Autonomy to manage your own territory.
  • Established brand with strong market recognition.
  • Opportunity to build meaningful professional relationships.
  • Competitive hourly compensation plus performance bonuses.
  • Long-term opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the firm's business development efforts expand.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of business development, outside sales, territory sales, physician relations, healthcare outreach, or relationship-based B2B sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Professional presence with executive-level communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through.
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
  • Reliable transportation for travel throughout the DFW area.

About Us

We're a growing boutique professional services firm serving the healthcare industry throughout Texas. Our firm already enjoys strong brand recognition and a robust marketing presence. Your role is to build upon that foundation by creating meaningful relationships that strengthen our professional network and expand our impact within the healthcare community.

If you're passionate about building relationships, enjoy working independently, and thrive in an outside business development environment, we'd love to hear from you.
