Quality Inspector II
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Pay: $24.00 – $26.40 per hour
Job Summary
The Quality Inspector II ensures that products meet all required quality and safety standards. This role combines process auditing, QMS project support, and quality sustaining activities. Inspectors may be assigned to specific process areas and are expected to work with limited supervision while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Process Auditing
- Conduct audits to assess compliance with procedures and standards.
- Prepare formal audit reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Perform part and finished‐goods audits to verify effectiveness of final visual inspections.
- Participate in team efforts to develop strategies for improving product quality.
QMS Project Support
- Support the plant‐wide calibration program, including preparing gauges and instruments for calibration.
- Review calibration results for out‐of‐tolerance (OOT) conditions and maintain calibration records.
- Assist with ambient monitoring activities in cleanroom environments.
Quality Sustaining Activities
- Complete assigned action items related to audit findings.
- Validate corrective actions to ensure issues are fully resolved.
- Enter and monitor Certificates of Analysis (COA) data for purchased chemicals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and apply production instructions and standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database software.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, comparators, indicators, etc.).
Education & Certification Requirements
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Cleanroom experience preferred.
Work Environment
- Work performed in both manufacturing and office settings.

Physical Demands
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to exert up to 75 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, and 15 lbs constantly.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for inspection tasks.
Environmental Exposure
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Exposure to hazards including electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and debris.
- Must maintain visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.
